SAFE ANSWER FOR UPI CUSTOMER CARE NUMBER SEARCHES

UPI Complaint Number: Use Official Routes, Not Random Helplines

If you are searching for a UPI complaint number, slow down before calling anything you found in a blog, ad, comment, WhatsApp forward or search result snippet. UPI issues are handled through different official routes depending on whether the case is fraud, failed payment, wrong transfer, refund, bank grievance or RBI escalation.

Safe answer to number searches

Do not trust random UPI complaint numbers

For UPI issues, the safer route is to use verified official portals, the original UPI app, and your bank's official website or banking app. This page intentionally does not publish copied bank helpline numbers.

Fraud

Call 1930 only for suspected financial cyber fraud

If you were scammed, tricked, or saw an unauthorised transaction, report immediately through 1930 and the official Cybercrime Portal.

UPI transaction

Use the transaction's complaint option

Start from the original transaction in your UPI app, then use NPCI UPI Help for supported transaction complaints or status checks.

Bank action

Use your bank's official contact page

When account access, debit, refund, grievance or fraud reporting is involved, go through the bank's official app, site, or branch record.

Escalation

Use RBI CMS later when eligible

RBI escalation generally comes after the regulated entity rejects, inadequately answers, or does not respond within the applicable period.

Never share: UPI PIN, OTP, password, card details, CVV, full account credentials, or remote screen access. A genuine complaint route will not ask you to approve a collect request or enter your UPI PIN to receive a refund.

Official bank websites and grievance pages

Use these links as starting points only. Prefer the bank's .bank.in domain, then use its Contact Us, Support, Grievance Redressal, Report Fraud, or Complaint section. This list intentionally links to official bank destinations instead of copying phone numbers.

For a bank not shown here, use the RBI bank links page and then move to the bank's official grievance route.

Fake UPI complaint numbers are a real risk

People searching for urgent help are easy targets. A fake support number can turn one payment issue into a second loss.

What fake support callers usually do

They claim they can reverse a UPI payment, release a refund, block a transaction, or connect you to NPCI. Then they ask you to enter a UPI PIN, approve a collect request, install screen-sharing software, reveal an OTP, or pay a processing fee.

What genuine complaint routes do not need

A genuine route does not need your UPI PIN, OTP, password, CVV, full card details, or remote access to your phone. Receiving money does not require entering your UPI PIN.

What to do instead

Use the original UPI app, official NPCI UPI Help, your bank’s official website or banking app, the official Cybercrime Portal, and RBI CMS when eligible. Preserve acknowledgements and written follow-ups.

There is no single number for every UPI complaint

The right route depends on what happened. Calling a random number wastes time and may expose sensitive information. Start with the category below.

Fraud, scam or unauthorised debit

Call 1930, notify your bank through verified channels, file on the official Cybercrime Portal, and preserve every acknowledgement. Use the UPI fraud complaint guide.

Failed or pending UPI payment

Open the original transaction in your UPI app, raise a complaint there, then use NPCI UPI Help and your bank’s grievance route when needed.

Wrong UPI transfer

A completed authorised payment usually cannot simply be cancelled. Use the app, bank and NPCI route, and follow the wrong UPI transaction complaint guide.

Refund not received

Ask the merchant for written refund confirmation, preserve the original payment details, and raise a formal bank or app complaint if the refund does not arrive.

NPCI complaint or complaint status

Use official NPCI UPI Help or the official NPCI complaint-status page. Do not rely on numbers copied into unrelated websites.

Bank not resolving the complaint

Use your bank’s formal grievance route first. RBI CMS generally becomes relevant after the regulated entity rejects, inadequately answers, or does not respond within the applicable period.

Protect your right to escalate

Build a written complaint record

A phone call may help you understand the issue, but it usually does not give you enough proof of what was submitted or when. Create a traceable record from the first complaint onward.

1. Submit formally

Use the complaint option in the transaction, the bank's official grievance channel, NPCI UPI Help, or another proper authority.

2. Obtain acknowledgement

Save the complaint number, email acknowledgement, portal screenshot, or stamped receiving copy for an offline complaint.

3. Preserve your evidence

Keep the transaction ID, bank statement, screenshots, written explanation and every response together.

4. Follow up in writing

Send dated reminders that quote the original complaint number. Keep copies and proof of delivery.

5. Record the timeline

Maintain a simple list of complaint dates, reminders, replies, promises and missed deadlines.

6. Escalate with the file

When moving to a higher authority, attach the complaint trail so it can see what happened and what remains unresolved.

Important: Do not rely only on verbal assurances. If you visit a branch, submit a written complaint and request a stamped or otherwise acknowledged receiving copy.

Why this page does not list bank phone numbers

Phone numbers change, pages get copied, and scammers exploit urgency. A stale or fake number can be dangerous when the visitor is already anxious about money.

Instead, we link to official bank contact or grievance pages. From there, confirm the current contact route directly on the bank’s official domain or inside your banking app.

Before submitting bank details

  • Check the domain carefully.
  • Prefer your bank app or official website.
  • Use the bank’s grievance or fraud-reporting section.
  • Keep the complaint number or acknowledgement.
  • Follow up in writing if the issue remains unresolved.

What to say instead of asking for a number

When you contact your app, bank, NPCI or another official channel, make the complaint easy to identify and hard to ignore.

Subject: UPI complaint – [Transaction ID/UTR] – [Date]

I am submitting a formal complaint regarding this UPI transaction:

Transaction ID/UTR: [number]
Date and time: [details]
Amount: ₹[amount]
UPI app and linked bank: [details]
Issue type: [fraud / failed / pending / wrong transfer / refund / other]

Please register this complaint, provide an acknowledgement number, investigate the issue, and send a written response. I will preserve this complaint reference for follow-up and escalation if required.

UPI complaint number questions

What number should I call for UPI fraud?

For suspected financial cyber fraud, call the National Cybercrime Helpline on 1930 immediately and file a report through the official National Cybercrime Reporting Portal.

Is there one UPI complaint number for all problems?

No. Failed payments, wrong transfers, refunds, fraud, bank grievances and RBI escalation follow different official routes. Use the route that matches the problem.

Why should I avoid random customer care numbers?

Fake support numbers are commonly used to steal OTPs, UPI PINs, card details or remote phone access. Use official portals, bank apps, and verified bank websites instead.

Why do you not list bank phone numbers?

Copied phone numbers can become outdated or unsafe. We link to official bank contact and grievance pages so you can verify the current contact route directly from the bank’s own website.

What should I keep after calling or submitting a complaint?

Save the complaint number, acknowledgement screenshot, email, SMS, date, time, transaction ID, follow-up reminders and every written response.
